Jordan Rodriguez (Undergraduate)
Jordan was an undergraduate student & herbarium intern in the Daru lab from 2019 to 2022. Her research focused on disentangling the mismatches in plant sampling biases between vouchered specimens and observations.

Brianna Rock (Masters)
Brianna joined the lab in Jan 2019 & successfully defended her Masters in July 2021. Brianna’s research focused on assessing seagrass evolutionary diversity in the Anthropocene. Her work resulted in 2 first-author papers, one published in Frontiers in Marine Science, and another under review at Nature Plants.

Piyal Karunarathne (Postdoc)
Piyal was a postdoc in the lab from June 2019 to August 2020. Piyal focused on developing a modeling framework to determine the evolutionary origin of biomes at a global scale. Piyal co-authored a paper in Methods Ecol Evol describing a new R
package phyloregion
. After finishing in the Daru lab, Piyal accepted a postdoctoral fellowship in Sweden.
